1. Overview

This Refund Policy describes the refund terms for Global Money Index subscriptions. Global Money Index is provided by Taijong Lee (the "Company") and is a subscription-based SaaS platform offering algorithmic market environment classification and market intelligence tools.

All payments are processed by our designated payment processor (acting as Merchant of Record), and refunds are likewise processed through the same provider.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 7-Day Refund Window

Global Money Index offers a 7-calendar-day refund window for new subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, you may request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase.

2.2 Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a refund, you must:

  • Request the refund within 7 days of initial subscription charge
  • Have an active or recently active account
  • Not have engaged in prohibited conduct (fraud, abuse, or Terms of Service violation)
  • Not have already received a refund within the rolling 12-month period

2.3 One Refund Per Account Per Rolling 12-Month Period

Global Money Index allows one (1) refund per account per rolling 12-month period. The 12-month period is measured from the date of your last refund.

2.4 Non-Refundable Scenarios

Refunds are NOT available for:

  • Subscriptions canceled after the 7-day window
  • Free tier users (no payment made)
  • Renewal charges beyond the initial subscription period
  • User error, misunderstanding, or change of mind after 7 days
  • Refunds based on perceived service quality or analysis accuracy
  • Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations

3. Refund Window Expiration

3.1 No Refunds After 7 Days

Once the 7-day refund window closes, refunds are NOT available for any reason, including wanting to cancel, dissatisfaction with service quality, changes in financial circumstances, or finding alternative services. You should carefully evaluate the service during the 7-day window.

3.2 Subscription Cancellation (Non-Refund)

If you wish to cancel your subscription after the 7-day window, you may do so at any time. Your cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period. Cancellation after 7 days does NOT entitle you to a refund.

3.3 Prorated Refunds Not Available

Global Money Index does NOT offer prorated refunds under any circumstances, including cancellation mid-month, downgrading, partial month usage, or unused days.

4. How to Request a Refund

4.1 Refund Request Process

  1. Email Support: Send an email to support@globalmoneyindex.com
  2. Subject Line: Use "Refund Request" as the subject line
  3. Include: Your account email, date of purchase, subscription plan, and brief reason (optional)
  4. Response Time: We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day
  5. Verification: We will verify eligibility based on account creation date, charge date, and refund history

4.2 Refund Approval and Processing

If your request is approved:

  • The Company will confirm the refund approval via email
  • The refund will be processed through our payment processor
  • The amount will be returned to your original payment method
  • Processing Time: Typically 5-10 business days, though some payment methods may take longer

4.3 Refund Denial

If your refund request is denied, the Company will provide written explanation including reason(s) for denial and relevant policy provisions. You may appeal once by responding within 7 days with additional context.

5. Payment Processing

5.1 Merchant of Record

All subscription payments and refunds are processed through our designated payment processor, which serves as the Merchant of Record for Global Money Index. The payment processor handles credit card processing, tax and VAT collection, billing administration, PCI compliance, and customer payment data security.

6. Cancellation vs. Refunds

6.1 Canceling Without a Refund

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Your subscription will cancel at the end of your current billing period. No refund will be issued.

6.2 Reactivating a Canceled Subscription

If you cancel and later wish to reactivate, reactivation is treated as a new subscription with a new 7-day refund window.

7. Billing and Renewal

7.1 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. Reminder emails are sent prior to renewal.

7.2 Renewal Charges

Renewal charges are not refundable. The 7-day refund window applies only to the initial subscription charge. If you wish to avoid renewal charges, you must cancel before the renewal date.

7.3 Billing Issues

If you dispute a charge or notice a billing error, contact support@globalmoneyindex.com with your account email, date of charge, amount, and description. The Company will investigate within 3 business days.

8. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

8.1 Technical or Service Failures

If you experience a critical technical failure making the service unusable, document the issue and contact support@globalmoneyindex.com with "Service Failure" in the subject line. The Company may provide service credits or grant an exceptional refund at its sole discretion.

8.2 Promotional or Trial Subscriptions

The 7-day refund window applies from the date of initial charge. Refund amount is based on the actual charge, including any discounts applied.

9. Disputes and Chargeback Policy

9.1 Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute regarding a refund or charge, email support@globalmoneyindex.com within 30 days of the disputed charge. Resolution will be sought within 15 business days.

9.2 Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting the Company, your account may be suspended pending investigation. Repeated chargebacks may result in account termination.

Please contact support first before initiating a chargeback. We want to resolve any issues directly and fairly.

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of South Korea and is part of the overall Terms of Service.
