Sweep — Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

The app collects the following:

• Anonymous usage analytics — which screens you open, which buttons you tap, and how long a scan takes. Collected through Microsoft Clarity so we can find and fix problems in the app. Not linked to your identity and not used to track you across other apps or websites.
• A masked reconstruction of the app screens as you use them, recorded by Microsoft Clarity. Every view that displays your photos is masked before recording, so photo content is never included.
• Diagnostic and performance data — errors and unusually slow operations, also through Microsoft Clarity.
• A device advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to select and measure ads. See the Advertising section below.

2. Device permissions and how they are used

• Photo Library (read and delete) — Sweep scans your photo library on the device to find screenshots, duplicate or similar photos, and large photos and videos. Deletion happens only for the items you select and confirm; iOS shows its own confirmation dialog before anything is removed.

Granting a permission does not send anything off the device. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; the related features stop working, but the rest of the app continues to function.

3. Advertising

Sweep displays ads served by Google AdMob. Ad networks may use a device advertising identifier and similar technologies to select and measure ads. That processing is governed by the ad network's own privacy policy, not ours.

4. Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only third parties that receive data from this app are the service providers named above, and they may use it solely to provide those services to us.

5. Children

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address below. We respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you in the app.
